Day 71 – The Girl Scouts of the USA Spoon

On this day in 1912, Juliette Magill Kinzie Gordon Low organized the first Girl Scout troop in Savannah, Georgia. This event is celebrated each year when Girl Scouts around the country park themselves in front of grocery stores, forcing us to buy and eat their delicious cookies.

Therefore, I blame Juliette Gordon Low for the fact that I can’t lose weight in February, March, occasionally April, and usually July, if I happen to freeze the Thin Mints and Samoas.

In honor of National Girl Scout Day, here’s a sterling silver spoon with the words “Girl Scouts of the USA” down the handle and the Girl Scout Trefoil badge at the very top. Mmmm. Trefoils.
