Day 81 – Puerto Rico Sugar Spoon

Slavery was abolished in Puerto Rico on March 22, 1873, while the island was still a colony of Spain. Each year on this day, Puerto Ricans celebrate Emancipation Day (Día de la Abolición de Esclavitud) as an official holiday.

Here’s a spoon from Puerto Rico with a big, scalloped bowl. I think it’s a sugar spoon. A haunted sugar spoon.
