Day 113 – The Mona Lisa Spoon

I completely forgot to post a spoon yesterday (I had a really good excuse!) which broke my 112 day streak. I’ll post two today to make up for my error.

We’ll start with “la cuillère Joconde” – The Mona Lisa Spoon. This, I think, was another spoon from one of my friend Kate’s travels through Europe, though I can’t be 100% sure.

“Joconde” is the french word for Mona Lisa, the famous painting by Leonardo Da Vinci of Lisa del Giocondo (neé Gherardini). It hangs in the Louvre in Paris.

I believe this is the only souvenir spoon I own that was created specifically for a painting—and although the painting is totes haunted, the spoon is probably not.
