Day 131 – The London Eye Spoon

Look! It’s Europe’s tallest Ferris wheel, The London Eye (also known as the “Coca-Cola London Eye”). Technically, it’s the “world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel” for those keeping score at home.

This spoon is somewhat related to two other spoons I own:

  1. The Ferris wheel itself was invented by George Washington Gale Ferris Jr. for the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. (See: Day 53: The 1893 World’s Fair Spoon.)
  2. The company that owns the London Eye, Merlin Entertainments, also owns Warwick Castle. (See: Day 111: The Warwick Castle Spoon.)
